Just a few things are more annoying than your clothes getting ruined by little stains that just won’t go away. Just before you trash that outfit, here are some laundry hacks that would help revive your stained clothes.

Sun for Tomato stains: To get rid of tomato based stains, wash the clothing immediately with detergent and dry in the sun. The sun is a bleaching agent and helps removes residue of stains after washing.

Bread for lipstick stains: If you happen to have a lipstick stain on your clothing, you could use bread to get rid of it. Cut out the soft centre of the bras and roll it into a ball. Use it to blot out the stain. Whatever is left of the stain will come off after laundering it.

Hairspray and Sanitizer for Ink Stains: Hair sprays and sanitizers are both alcohol based hence they help dissolve ink stains. Spray the hair spray generously on the ink stain or rub the sanitizer into the stain. Let it sit for about 10 minutes then wash normally. However, be sure you are not using an oil based hair spray.

Baby Powder or Chalk on Grease: Chalk and baby powder work well on grease stains. Rub chalk generously on stain or pour baby powder on stain. These absorb the grease. Wash normally after some minutes.

Several Methods for Sweat Stain: See image below

Baking Soda for Whitening: If you must wear white, it is best worn sparkling. To revive your white clothes, add about ½ cup of baking soda to your laundry. It not only whitens it, it also deodorizes it. Unlike bleach, it is also colour safe.

Hair Conditioner to Unshrink Clothes: If you use a washing machine for your laundry, it won’t be surprising to see shrunken clothes every now and then. To unshrink, soak clothes in a lukewarm water with hair conditioner for some minutes then rinse.
