We constantly are in search of the perfect app that can make us look spotless just before we post that picture to the gram. Forgive me if you’re not that vane but I’m certain you often have need to scan one document or the other; yes, we have apps that can do that too. Here are 5 photo apps every photo lover should have.

Litely: With over 75 filters, you can finally settle on one you really love. The brain behind this happens to be the same guy behind most of the Instagram filters. All you have to do is download it from your app store and create different effects with those creative filters. You however might not be able to get a Litely filter just yet as it is available for just iOS for now.

CamScanner: I found out about this app when I wanted to urgently scan a document I was running late to send. While I wondered the closest place to dash off and get the scan done, a friend told me about the Camscanner app. I downloaded it and since then, that’s the only way I’ve scanned documents. It’s pretty easy to use to. You can get it from your app store, Available for android and iOS.

AutoDesk Pixlr: This is a free photo editor app that has over 2 million combinations of effects, overlays and filters. With Pixlr, you can create photo collages with various layout, background and spacing options. It can also balance out colour and multiple photos can be layered and blended together. Photos can be stylized with pencil drawings and ink sketches. You can also use it to enhance selfies, remove blemishes, red eyes and whiten teeth. It allows you add captions and overlay photos with text. Now this is a must-have! It is available for Android iOS, Windows and Mac.

Canva: We like to call this a DIY graphics designing tool. You might not need to fire your graphics designer just yet, but Canva certainly would help you get around basic designs like a quick “Happy Birthday” message or an invitation to an event. It can also be used on a computer on canva.com but if you want a mobile version. It’s available as well. It’s however available for just iOS right now.
